Vintage Briglin Studio Pottery Set of 6 Cups & Saucers from 1960s/70s made from Red Earthenware Clay.

This vintage Briglin studio pottery coffee pot (c. 1960s-1970s) is a characteristic piece from the London-based pottery, often featuring a distinctive spiral pattern, in rustic brown tones. These are hand-thrown in London.

Origin: Produced in London, UK, with a workshop located at 22 Crawford Street during its prime.

Design: Often features a hand-painted spiral/swirl design (sometimes referred to as the 'Scroll' set in catalogues).

Appearance: Shades of brown, semi-gloss finish.

Era: Predominantly 1960s to 1970s retro style.

Shape: Tall, often cylindrical or with a slightly bulbous body.

The set consists of:

1 coffee pot
1 sugar bowl
1 milk jug
6 cups and saucers

Coffee pot measures 17cm tall not including the lid with top of lid it measures 22cm with a diameter of 10cm.

Milk Jug Measures 11cm tall and 8cm from spout to rim.

Sugar Bowl Measures 7cm tall and 8cm diameter.

Saucers measure 12cm diameter

Cups measure 8cm tall and 6cm diameter.

Excellent condition throughout, no chips, cracks or crazing. This set hasn’t been used and has been stored in a display cabinet for all of its life.
