A Fabulous Extremely Rare (I can’t find another any where) Portmeirion Vintage Magic Garden Cylinder Style Coffee Set, Designed by Susan Williams-Ellis.

This is a Gorgeous Coffee set which would be the centre of a coffee morning talking point.

Susan designed this fantastic, futuristic pattern, based on what sort of vegetation she thought might be spotted on the moon. Bearing in mind she designed this just after the first moon landing in 1969, it is no wonder she was inspired. This was the age of space travel! This Magic Garden design follows on from Susan's famous Magic City design and is one of her most exciting and flamboyant patterns and one of our favourites! This dynamic design comes in just the one colour range of a blend of greens, blues and black on a white ground, and has the most amazing 3D effect. Ferns and seed pods seem to dominate the design and there is a gorgeous little bird hidden amongst the plants if you look closely.

This set comprises of a cylinder coffee pot, milk jug, sugar bowl and six cups and saucers.

There is some minor clean crazing. The coffee pot is the exact one that we exhibited at the V&A in London as part of a Portmeirion exhibition.
